Two elephants born at Chitwan National Park's Elephant Breeding Center Khorsor are going to be sent to Qatar. Rudrakali and Khagendra Prasad, who are in Sauraha Hattisar after growing up in the breeding center and being trained, will be sent to Qatar by next October.

According to National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Department spokesperson Haribhadra Acharya, Qatar requested 2 elephants 2 years ago through diplomatic channels. It took 2 years to complete the entire process.

Since two elephants from Nepal are being sent to be kept in the zoo in Qatar, the department has also studied the location and environment of keeping them there. Based on the expert's report, it is about to be sent as the condition of survival of the elephants was found there. Two people with the elephant will go to Qatar for some time.

An arrangement has been made to keep elephants in an air-conditioned (cold) environment in the zoo of Qatar, where there is extreme heat. As the temperature in Qatar is usually above 45-50 degrees, arrangements are made to keep it in AC. According to the department, arrangements have been made to create a suitable environment like the one around Chitwan Park.

The Qatar government has arranged for the elephants to eat grass from India by plane. Spokesman Acharya said that there is a possibility that it can be taken from Nepal later.

The elephants will be sent using a chartered plane through a direct flight from Bhairahawa Airport to Qatar. Qatari government officials will charter the plane and come to pick it up. These elephants will be kept in the zoo in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The technicians of the park have inspected and examined the location and condition of the elephants there.

will be taken from Chitwan to Bhairahawa Airport via Nawalparasi via Mahendra Highway. According to Acharya, there was a delay in taking the elephant due to the deterioration of the Daunne highway. As the road becomes easier, the technicians are preparing to deliver the elephant to Bhairahawa.

Qatar officials and elephant experts will come and take the elephant by charter plane. Acharya informed that the process of construction of iron cage to keep the elephants has started and after the construction is completed, the elephants will be sent. It has been agreed that the Qatar government will bear all the expenses incurred in reaching Bhairahawa.

Rudrakali (female) is 7 years old and Khagendra Prasad (male) is 6 years old. National Nature Conservation Fund Sauraha has started the cage construction process by measuring the size of elephants. The elephants will be kept in two separate cages and two trucks and taken from Sauraha to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Lumbini.

Acharya said on the telephone that they are going to give wildlife gifts to strengthen the relationship between Qatar and Nepal and to make the importance of Nepal's biological diversity known at the international level.

Nepal Government brought 20 elephants from India, 2 from Myanmar and 2 from Thailand in the year 2044 and established the Elephant Breeding Center in Chitwan Park. So far, 68 elephants have been born. This is the first time that the elephants born in the breeding center are going to be given as gifts.

Earlier, other wild animals have been sent to different countries. The two mahouts here will stay in Qatar for at least a month to introduce the elephants that will be sent to the zoo in Qatar. They will return after teaching the two mahouts there how to move and care for the elephants. The Qatar government will also make arrangements to take Maute.
