”I was walking to take my MA exam, I don't know why I called 100 and said there was a bomb”

What you should know

On Friday morning, one such call was received at the Kathmandu Police Complex. 35-year-old Jayarudra Jha from Mahottari informed that bombs have been planted in three places in the capital and that they may explode by 4 pm. It took the police only some time to find the source of the information.

  According to

J, there was no bomb placed anywhere in Kathmandu. Yuva Jha, who had gone out to give the post-graduate level examination of Tribhuvan University, has himself given this false information . Why is

fake news?

Jha says that he is under stress because he has not slept properly for 3/4 days. On Friday morning, he was going to take the 'Statistics' exam at the Jan Maitri campus. While walking on the road, he took out his phone and suddenly dialed the police emergency number 100. He said in the statement of the police, "I don't know why I did all this but I did it." He called the police and turned off his mobile phone and sat in the examination center and when he got out after the examination, he realized that he had made a mistake and called the police again and said that the matter was false.

In the meantime, the police had searched from his room to his relatives. Jha says that he has solved the question of 85 marks. 'I was always first in school till class 9 . Expected results did not come in SLC. Then chose Arts subject . In 2017, even though I was admitted to the center department of the university, I was not interested in my studies.  After the covid, master's level education slowed down,'' he said in the statement of the police, 'instead, attention was paid to the Public Service Commission. Passed the officer to naib subba level exams . Now I am working in the private sector with a monthly income of Rs 40,000.'

He also told the police that he has mental health problems. He said in his statement that he may have taken such a decision because he did not take the medicine in the last stage despite being treated for some time. He said that it was his own fault and that he is ready to be a part of the legal punishment. The police are investigating by registering an obscenity case according to the civil crime code as his false information has disturbed public peace and security.
