Lumbini and Gandaki state governments have decided on nine points to make the common program related to development effective and successful based on cooperation and cooperation between each other.
The second chief ministerial level meeting held in Syangja Galang in coordination with Gandaki province on Monday reached a common consensus and decision. Earlier, a meeting was held at Ranimahal in Palpa in coordination with Lumbini Province. In the
meeting, Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chetnarayan Acharya and Chief Minister of Gandaki Province Surendraraj Pandey signed a nine-point decision related to common development. These two bordering provinces had previously decided on 21 points with a commitment to cooperate on matters of common interest and interests in a Chief Ministerial level meeting held at Ranimahal in Palpa on 30th January 2081. Lumbini Chief Minister Acharya said that in Monday's meeting, the state of implementation of the decisions of the first meeting held at Ranimahal, aspects that need to be improved, etc. were reviewed. In the
meeting, emphasis was placed on the implementation of budget and policy priority issues and arrangements were made for regular coordination with the Government of Nepal and the preparation of an action plan within three months as promised was also discussed in the meeting. Chief Minister Acharya said that the Chief Ministers of both the provinces have been drawing the attention of the federal government for the implementation of the decision and now some decisions are in the implementation stage. There is a situation where the powers given to the provinces by the constitution have not been delegated through the federal government. We will always move ahead with coordination and cooperation to implement the rights given by the constitution in full swing," he said. "We are working to attract attention to solve the problem of common road infrastructure connected with the provinces." In the
meeting, it was also agreed that the two provinces will jointly advance programs of common interest based on the spirit of coordination and cooperation in Articles 232 and 233 of the Constitution of Nepal. Similarly, it has been agreed to prepare a concept paper for the development of Damodarkund-Krishnagand 'Uttaravahini'-Lumbini Muktimarg. The meeting also decided to advance the transformative programs in inter-provincial partnership, to submit the action plan for the improvement of the coastal area of Kaligand by the middle of next December, and to facilitate the Kattik Mahasnan and Damodar Dharmatsav to be held in the Uttarwahini region in the month of October. The
meeting also decided to form a key secretary-level mechanism for learning exchange, to maintain legal and policy uniformity and to jointly prepare a detailed project report of the footpath connecting the pilgrimage and tourist spots of both provinces.
