After the continuous rain, the flood in the Thame River swept away 5 houses. The continuous flood since last night washed away the houses when Thame river entered the village.

Navraj Gautam, chief administrative officer of the rural municipality informed that 5 houses were completely washed away by the flood that entered the settlement in Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality Ward No. 5, while the other 6 houses were partially damaged.

Due to the damage to the poles due to the flood, the electricity supply and communication services in the area have been completely disrupted. Chief Administrative Officer Gautam said that local residents, security agencies and concerned agencies were mobilized for immediate rescue and relief work after the incident. 

Sujan Kumar Budhathoki, administrative officer of the rural municipality, has said that there is still a possibility of further damage as it is raining continuously. 

Although the houses of the locals were washed away, there were no human casualties, the police said. The rural municipality has asked all the residents of Thame area to take necessary precautions and stay in a safe place as much as possible.

In August last year, , more than 20 houses were washed away when a sudden flood occurred in Thame . There was a sudden flood in the river Thame, which borders Dolakha and Solukhumbu.
