Medical education reformer Dr. Govind KC has started Satyagraha in Geta of Kailali from Sunday afternoon. He started a 3-day satyagraha at Shahid Dashrathchandra University of Health Sciences there.

Before this, he went on hunger strike many times - many times, the government issued the Medical Education Act and established the Medical Education Commission as per his demand.

• 1. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the Medical Education Commission to withdraw the decision to increase the number of student seats in private medical colleges wrongly, not to increase the fees, to open government medical colleges in Ilam, Udaipur and Dadeldhura as per the agreement and to immediately start hospital services and educational programs at full capacity in Geta Medical University .
• 2. To implement and fulfill all the previous agreements and demands, including the adoption of the Act on Integrated Health Education Institutions and the appointment standards of university and institution officials, making medical education non-profit according to the Act and increasing the number of posts in all health institutions including government hospitals.
• 3. The Government of India is requested to stop the encroachment in Lipulek and return the encroached land to Nepal and the Government of Nepal to ensure this action.
• 4. Russia and Israel are demanded to stop the genocidal war in Ukraine and Gaza immediately.
