committee, said that even after the environmental impact assessment of the project in the park and conservation area, the work has been stopped and the ministry has also been instructed to facilitate it. In the
meeting, MP Birendra Mahato emphasized that development work should not be stopped in the name of environmental protection and that a balance between development and environment should be maintained. MP Saraswati Subba expressed the opinion that it is not appropriate to adopt a policy of promoting electric vehicles for environmental protection but hindering the progress of hydropower projects due to forests.
Member of Parliament Meena Tamang said that the environment should not be destroyed in the name of facilitating the hydropower project.Similarly, the Secretary of the Ministry of Forests and Environment Rajendra Prasad Mishra said that it is necessary to remove the legal obstacles in the case of investment and hydropower projects that have been EIA. He said, 'Although 95 percent of a project is completed, five percent is stopped due to parks and conservation areas. We are ready to facilitate development and construction work.'
