CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that he was sued for no reason in the Patanjali land case. The law of Nepal has mentioned that there is a special provision regarding the regulation of limited exemptions.
Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Saturday, he said that a case has been filed against him by giving more land than the limit and allowing more land to be sold.
He has said that the Government of Nepal can give permission to keep demarcated land according to the notified order and while giving the permission, it can specify the necessary conditions. He said that the government of Nepal has the right to keep more land than the limit.
Nepal said, 'Now a case has been filed against me. What's the issue there? There are 4 issues at issue. It is said that it is wrong to give more land than the limit and to allow more land to be sold. There was embezzlement and damage to government and public property. In this way corruption was done by embezzlement and damage. What does the law say whether it is allowed to sell more land than the limit? There is a special provision for regulating the limitation exemption. It can also be regulated if someone buys it without taking approval. The Government of Nepal can give permission to keep the demarcated land according to the notified order. May specify necessary conditions when granting approval. In other words, the government of Nepal has the right to keep more land than the limit. He also made it clear that there is no legal basis for allowing more land to be kept than the
limit. He mentioned that the said land was given by unanimous decision of the Council of Ministers. He claimed that when he was the Prime Minister, there were Vidya Devi Bhandari to UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel, Sujata Koirala, Bhim Rawal, Meinendra Rizal in the Council of Ministers.
He said, 'In this case, the cabinet has decided unanimously. There is no legal basis for wrongdoing by allowing more land to be kept than the limit. At that time, the cabinet consisted of Vidya Bhandari to Sujata Koirala, from Shankar Pokharel to Surendra Pandey, the general secretary of the now ruling party, from Bhim Rawal to Meinendra Rizal. All these are agreed upon. The decision was taken unanimously by the Cabinet.
President Nepal said that he has not committed any mistake or bullying in his life.
