Constitutional Commission and employees who want to take government appointments will resign at the age of 57: MP Subedi

What appointments do lower-level employees get? To be appointed to a constitutional position, there must be joint secretary, secretary and chief secretary. What appointment will the office assistant get and are they arguing like that?'

Constitutional Commission and employees who want to take government appointments will resign at the age of 57: MP Subedi

What you should know

Jhakku Prasad Subedi, Member of Parliament of the Maoist Center, has said that joint secretaries, secretaries and chief secretaries who want to be appointed to constitutional commission, government appointments and diplomatic posts should resign on the day they reach the age of 57.

Referring to the arguments of MPs and high-ranking employees that there should not be a 'cooling off period' in the federal civil service bill, Subedi said that post-retirement aspiring employees should resign before reaching the age of 57.

Subedi made this argument when there is an argument that no one will take appointments including constitutional commission and diplomatic posts when there is a 'cooling off period' of 2 years in the civil service . When the retirement age of a civil servant is 60 years, the provision of 2 years 'cooling off period' is kept, and the Constitutional Commission argues that the provision should be removed because no one is going to be appointed for only 3 years . You can get a job only up to 65 years from the Constitutional Commission.

The Civil Bill is being discussed in Saturday's meeting of the Legislation Management Committee under the National Assembly. During the discussion on the section related to 'cooling off period', MP Subedi said this. "The cooling off period of 2 years is kept in the House of Representatives, that's fine. Many arguments and facts can be put as to why it should be kept. Joint secretary, secretary and chief secretary will go to constitutional, government and diplomatic appointments. Those who go there will retire at the age of 57. 2 years Anand has rested happily . After attaining the age of 59, he will be appointed and retire in 6 years,' he said.

Stating that only joint secretary, secretary and chief secretary are taking appointments in constitutional commissions, government appointments and ambassador positions, Subedi suggested not to keep the argument of removing the 'cooling off period' by showing the lower level employees. 'Lower level staff  Does the appointment get ? In order to get appointment in the constitutional post, joint secretary, secretary and chief secretary must be . What appointment will the office assistant get and are they making such an argument?,' said Subedi, 'joint secretary, secretary and chief secretary will get appointment . The Joint Secretary is against the cooling off period . The undersecretaries are in favor of a cooling off period . If you take a political and constitutional appointment, you will resign at the age of 57, be appointed at the age of 59 and retire at the age of 65.'

Subedi also questioned what good work has been done by the employees going to the constitutional post . Citing the examples of Lokmansingh Karki and Rajnarayan Pathak who were appointed to the authority, he said that a cooling off period must be kept.
