It has been found that the journalist asked for money from the rural municipality by publishing voluntary advertisements. An online media called 'Nuwakot Express' has been found to have illegally submitted the bill without the permission of Panchkanya Rural Municipality of Nuwakot.

According to Hiradhan Rai, Chief Administrative Officer of Panchkanya Rural Municipality, Nuwakot Express submitted a bill of 5 lakh rupees on May 29. The editor/publisher of Nuwakot Express is Umesh Prasad Khanal .

We did not ask him to publish the advertisement. He has printed this," said Rai, the chief administrative officer, "suddenly a bill of 5 lakhs came for a matter of no mention. How can it be paid?'

The Nepal Journalist Federation Nuwakot branch has also issued a statement on this issue. In the statement, it is mentioned that Nuwakot Express demanded payment without Aadhaar. According to Navraj Subedi, president of Federation Nuwakot, Nuwakot Express has made the news a means of bargaining. He said, "It is wrong for a journalist to ask for payment without permission and without publishing the advertisement." On top of that, he demanded 5 lakh rupees in the pan bill. That's why we have issued a statement opposing such action. Umesh Khanal, who is also the owner of

Nuwakot Express, says that the advertisement was published on the advice of the rural municipality. I printed the advertisement in agreement with the village. But now you are saying no,' he said, 'There is no written agreement.' Even earlier I used to print advertisements . But the payment has not been made since the previous year.'

According to chief administrator Rai, Nuwakot Express had written news against the rural municipality for non-payment of bills and had also done 'blackmailing'. Rai said, "We did not pay him as there was no basis for giving that money." For not giving the same, he also wrote false news against village chairman Tej Bahadur Tamang and me (chief administrator).'

Khanal, the owner of Nuwakot Express, claims that Rai gave a wrong interpretation. He said,  "I gave the bill for the money in May." Why write the news now. They have misunderstood. I can write the news at any time! Didn't pick up the response when calling.'
