Bihar Police has issued a 'high alert' saying that three terrorists have entered through Nepal. Bihar Police Headquarters informed that three terrorists from Pakistan entered Bihar via Kathmandu.
According to NDTV , Hasnain Ali-Rawalpindi, Adil Hussain-Umarkot and Mohammad Usman-Bahawalpur are among those who entered Bihar via Nepal . Bihar Police has claimed that these three persons came to Kathmandu in the second week of August and entered Bihar last week.
According to Indian Express , all the three are associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed . The Indian media has also analyzed that they have come to disrupt the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. Purnia DIG Pramod Kumar Mandal has instructed the SPs of Purnia, Katihar, Araria and Kishanganj to be on 'high alert', according to Indian Express. All these districts are border districts of Nepal.
What does the Nepal Police say?
Although the Indian police claimed to have entered Bihar via Kathmandu, the Nepal police said that there is no truth in the news. In a conversation with Kantipur, the Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Vinod Ghimire, says, 'There is no truth in the news that they entered through Nepal. They are only written by the media there.'
However, due to assembly elections in Bihar, an Indian state bordering Nepal, regular meetings and exchange of information between the security apparatuses of both countries are continuing, said spokesperson Ghimire .
He further said, 'We are cautious about the security sensitivity of neighboring countries . Bihar is going to have elections and there will be security sensitivity. But there is no truth in the news that he came to Nepal.'
Although the election date in Bihar has not been announced, the Election Commission of India may set it for November, according to the Indian media.
