Suryavinayak Municipality had filed a case against Ashika and others for obstructing the raising of funds for the suspension bridge built in Sanga, and for tearing the information kept by the local municipality.

Ashika Tamang sentenced to 5 days imprisonment

District Court Bhaktapur has sentenced Ashika Tamang, who describes herself as a social activist, to five days of imprisonment. The court sentenced two people including Tamang.

Judge Vishwanath Bhattarai's bench has pronounced judgment against two people including Tamang in the criminal nuisance case.  District Court Information Officer Hirakumari Bhandari found another defendant, Sharan Thiruwa, guilty of criminal nuisance along with Tamang. 

Suryavinayak Municipality had filed a case on the charges that Ashika and others had obstructed the raising of funds for the suspension bridge built in Sanga, and had torn the information kept by the local municipality.

Suryavinayak municipality filed a complaint against the police for committing criminal nuisance. The court sentenced Tamang and Sharan Thiruwa to five days imprisonment each. Similarly, the court has ordered a fine of 500 rupees, compensation of 8 thousand 300 rupees by Damasahi to the victim and payment of 200 rupees to the victim's relief fund.
