Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is coming to China to participate in the 25th summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), is going to watch a military parade in Beijing.

The parade viewing was confirmed at the first press conference on the 80th anniversary of the Chinese War against Japanese aggression and the victory of the World War against Fascism held in Beijing on Thursday morning.

Prime Minister Oli, who is going to visit China from Saturday, will participate in the conference of the Shanghai Summit Organization to be held in Tianjin, one of the four cities of Central-administered China. After participating in the program, all guests participating in the conference will be brought to Beijing. As informed in the press conference, 26 foreign heads of state and government heads, including Oli, will participate in the grand parade exhibition to be held on the 3rd in Beijing's Tiananmen Square.

The Nepali ambassador in Beijing, Krishna Prasad Oli, told Kantipur that Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to watch the parade with other guests and return to Nepal on the same day. International personalities and their family representatives who have contributed to the Chinese people's war against Japanese encroachment have been specially invited to the

parade exhibition ceremony. It was informed at the press conference that 50 friends or representatives of their families from 14 countries including Russia, America, Britain, France, and Canada will participate in the ceremony.

Likewise, a cultural program related to war and victory will be organized in the Great Hall of the People in the evening on the same day. At the

press conference, Assistant Foreign Minister Hung Lei said that this time's parade conference will be high-level, representative and widely participatory. According to him, the presence of foreign heads of state and heads of government will show a high respect for China and a friendly feeling towards the Chinese people as they will participate in this kind of commemorative program which is only done by China. Hung Lei said that the participants will represent all the five continents and many international well-wishers and bereaved families will also participate. In

press conference, Deputy Director of Parade Steering Group Office and Central Military Commission's Joint Operations Department Major General Oo Chakh said that this parade is a special activity to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Chinese resistance against Japanese aggression and the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War.

According to Chinese media, three full rehearsals have been completed in Tiananmen Square area. The concerned authorities are keeping the troops with high morale and weapons and equipment in good condition. The day of the exhibition is running backwards.
