A captain of the corporation's narrowbody said that it is certain that hundreds of passengers will be stranded after Thursday. According to an internal circular issued by the maintenance control center of the corporation, the narrowbody named Everest was scheduled to fly to Dammam, Saudi Arabia on Wednesday night. But after seeing a problem in the 'angle of attack' sensor, the corporation's engineers grounded it in Kathmandu saying that it could not be flown.
133 passengers who were supposed to go to Dammam on Wednesday night have been kept in hotels near Gaushala at the corporation's expense. At the same time, 77 passengers who were supposed to come to Nepal from Dammam were also stopped in Saudi Arabia. Another narrowbody, named Lumbini, operated by the corporation with engines leased from an Israeli company, has not been in flight since July.

We station chiefs and staff living in foreign stations have to sit as silent spectators. Arrears of rental engines, unmatured contracts have grounded our own engines in Israel. Neither the tourism minister nor the government has heard about the corporation. Although a complaint was filed with the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, that organization did not show any interest. An engineer of the
corporation said that there are no spare parts for the damaged ships, and it is uncertain when they will be built. According to him, the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority has dismissed Yuvraj Adhikari, Executive Chairman of the Corporation as an 'accountable manager' for the corporation's serious negligence towards ship maintenance.
