UML MP Kiran Kumar Sah has said that the acquittal of Congress MP Mohammad Aftaw Alam, who was accused of murdering the victims of the bomb blast, has raised questions about the credibility of the judiciary and the ethics of the government.

MP Sah has also demanded the resignation of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasia regarding the Alam case. In the Thursday meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Sah demanded the resignation of former Minister Alam accusing Minister Chaurasia of playing an interfering role in the administration of justice in the cleaning case.

Sah said that the credibility of the judiciary and the ethics of the government have been questioned across the country regarding the case in which Alam was acquitted by the Birgunj bench of the High Court Janakpur. UML MP Sah, who is also the chairman of the Women and Social Committee of the House of Representatives, said that doubting the judiciary because of a single minister is a danger to democracy.

'Regarding the Alam Safai case, questions are being raised about the credibility of the judiciary and the ethics of the government. According to the news in various media, Law Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasia has been accused of interfering in the administration of justice in this case,' Shah said, 'Doubts on the judiciary because of one minister is a threat to democracy. It is grossly objectionable that the minister who implements and protects the constitution and laws appears in an interfering role. Therefore, Law Minister Chaurasia should resign immediately.'

Sah also demanded that Minister Chaurasia's mobile phone should be investigated. Sah said that Chaurasia's mobile phone details need to be investigated as it is objectionable that the minister who is responsible for the implementation and protection of the constitution and laws is seen in an interfering role.

During the first Constituent Assembly election on 27th Chait 2064, he was acquitted in the case of the death of Congress leader and former minister Mohammad Aftaw Alam when a bomb exploded at his house in Rajpur, Rautahat . Alam was acquitted on May 14 by a joint bench of Birgunj bench of Janakpur High Court, consisting of judges Khushi Prasad Tharu and Arjun Maharjan.
