The Supreme Court has issued an order in the name of the government not to extract and store eggs from women and teenagers. The Supreme Court has also issued an interim order in the name of the government to effectively monitor and regulate it.
The bench of Judge Tek Prasad Dhungana issued such an order on Tuesday. Advocates Nirav Gyawali, Dhruv Bhandari and Ankita Tripathi filed the writ on August 1. The Supreme Court has also asked the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Health, Nepal Police, etc. to submit a written response to the writ petition.
Hope Fertility and Diagonist Pvt Ltd in Babarmahal was illegally extracting and selling teenage girls' eggs and a writ was filed in the Supreme Court demanding an immediate stop.
Judge Dhungana's bench issued an order according to the petitioner's demand that the eggs of women and teenagers should be extracted and stored only by making a law. After the order of the Supreme Court, it is no longer possible to extract and store eggs.
