The police has submitted an investigation report with opinions to the District Public Prosecutor's Office to file a case against seven people, including the owner of Hope Fertility and Diagnostic Clinic, Swasti Sharma, on the charge of extracting the eggs of a teenage girl by financial temptation.
The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police has submitted an investigation report to the public prosecutor's office with the opinion that Khadka, the owner of the clinic and the staff working in the same clinic, should be prosecuted.
In the last week of June, police arrested Swasti Sharma, Asim Adhikari and Malini Chowdhury of Angel Fertility Clinic in Maharajganj and Hope Fertility in Babarmahal, who run the infertility treatment center, and started investigation.
CIB's SSP Hovindra Bogti informed that an opinion has been given to prosecute the accused for committing an offense under the Children Act 2075 with the demand of imprisonment and fine. The matter was brought to the police after the health problems of the girl whose eggs were removed were noticed. During the investigation, it was revealed that the eggs were removed in the plan of the manager, staff and agent of Hope Fertility by giving financial inducement to the two teenagers. CIB started an investigation after problems such as no menstruation and abdominal pain were observed in both the victim girls after the removal of the eggs, and it was revealed that illegal trading of eggs was carried out through agents and employees of the clinic.
After that, after the involvement of 7 people was revealed in the investigation which was carried out based on the complaint of the two teenagers, the CIB submitted a report with an opinion to prosecute the case by making them defendants. The Public Prosecutor's Office has said that it is being studied and soon the charge sheet will be delivered to the court according to the crime.
