A complaint of caste discrimination has been filed against Himprasad Pathak, a ward member of Jaamrung ward number 10 of Nilakantha municipality of Dhading. Ram Bahadur Visunkhe of Dhading Nilakantha-10 filed a complaint against Pathak for using caste discrimination on the pretext of applying water to the fields.
District Police Office Dhading Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Subas Hamal confirmed that a complaint regarding caste discrimination and untouchability has been filed against Pathak. We received the complaint only yesterday. "We have started the investigation," DSP Hamal said, "The work of taking the statements of the eyewitnesses of the incident is continuing."
'That day I asked for water. But he came and spat water. I asked for the water and why did you do this, brother?' When asked, on the contrary, 'You are a chamare, and you insulted me by name and caste,' he said, 'As a small caste, you did not bother me, and said obscene words to me, he would cut me off and kill me.' On the contrary, he accused me. He accused his wife of assault and also beat me. Then I went to file a complaint.
Ward member Pathak said that he was falsely accused. "He has been wearing my spring water." When I went and tried to remind him, he treated me like a bully,' said Ward member Pathak, 'He has misbehaved with my wife too.'
