An agreement was signed between Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and Tiktok on Tuesday with the aim of promoting Nepal tourism globally.
At a special event held in Kathmandu, the agreement was exchanged with Tiktok in the presence of representatives including Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey, Tourism Board CEO Deepak Raj Joshi, Ministry Joint Secretary Ramkrishna Lamichhane.
Under this partnership, Tiktok and Board are jointly launching the hashtag 'Lifetime Experience' campaign . In which Nepal's natural scenery, cultural heritage, colorful festivals, diverse food and Nepali hospitality will be presented to the world. In this campaign, local and international content creators will highlight the unique experiences of Nepal through their creative presentations, CEO Joshi said. In the
program, Minister Pandey said that the agreement with Tik Tok is not only a promotional agreement but also a common commitment to present Nepal to the world in an effective, attractive and far-reaching manner. He said, 'Tourism is not just an industry, it is the backbone of Nepal's socio-economic development, which has played a role in creating jobs, supporting small businesses and empowering the community.'
Under this agreement, Tiktok will organize capacity building programs and workshops for Nepali youth, entrepreneurs and storytellers to develop digital skills. Which will give them an opportunity to present their own culture, heritage and enterprise to the world .
