The Indian Embassy in Nepal celebrated India's 79th Independence Day under the chief hospitality of Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh. The Embassy celebrated the Independence Day by organizing a special cultural program at the Bhandar Khal garden in the Patan Palace area.
In the program, Chief Guest Singh expressed his best wishes to India on the occasion of Independence Day on behalf of Nepal. The relationship between Nepal and India is special. "There is not only a relationship between open borders and breadwinners, but also religious, cultural and political relationships," he said. Deputy Prime Minister Singh discussed the connection between the establishment of democracy in Nepal and India's independence movement, and expressed his belief that India-Nepal relations will be further strengthened in the coming days. program, Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba also wished Indian Independence Day. In the program, Naveen Srivastava, India's Ambassador to Nepal, said that India has been benefiting from the sale of electricity to India in the recent past and that it can benefit even more in the future. In the
program, a group of artists from India presented Kathak dance.
