UML whip Sunita Baral has said that in Nepal cyber security, security including digital data has become a national problem. Whip Baral said that when national security standards are made and inspections are made, a binding legal system and structure should be made to keep sensitive data in the national data center.

Speaker Baral made this suggestion while commenting on the proposal that 'Information, Technology and Cyber Security Bill, 2082 should be considered' presented by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Prithvisubba Gurung in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Wednesday. A public notice was issued by the Nepal Police Headquarters on July 27, 2082 to avoid cyber security and take the following measures. It is also known from this that today, the issue of cyber security has become a national problem,' she said.

Baral also said that the government has introduced the Information, Technology and Cyber Security Bill at the appropriate time. Stating that the bill covers information technology, cyber security, personal details and sensitivity, she said that it should be further defined by the parliament and international standards should be adopted.

Whip Baral said, 'There should be a clear, binding arrangement to keep national data in Nepal and it should be organized more based on the assessment of how much is necessary from the point of view of national security. If not, our data in the data center and in the cloud may become more sensitive or vulnerable to the issue of personal data security as it reaches the international level and is being internationalized.'

Expert Baral recognizes secure signatures and digital signatures and how to manage when foreigners recognize authentication ? She said that provision should be kept in the bill.

Cyber security data regulatory bodies should be made more accountable, Baral said. He said that people who work in regulatory bodies should take care of the issues that directly affect the lives of other people.
