Five animals died due to lumpy skin disease in West Nawalparasi. According to Parasi, the veterinary hospital and animal services expert center said that the infection of the disease was found in the animals of Ramgram, Sunwal, Bardghat municipalities and Pratappur and Sarawal rural municipalities of the district.
An attempt has been made to prevent the spread of the disease by cordoning off the area where the disease has spread. Due to the infection, the disease has spread to more cows than buffaloes. Veterinarian Bharat Kafle of Animal Disease Research Laboratory West Nawalparasi said that lumpy skin disease has been confirmed in 27 animals in the district so far and samples of 13 animals have been sent to Animal Disease Research Laboratory Kathmandu for testing.
Lumpy skin disease, which was observed in Bardghat municipality in June, has now been observed in animals of 3 municipalities and 4 rural villages in the district. After the animal is infected with this disease, it is a problem for the farmers to treat the wounds due to the wounds on the animal's body. The treatment process for the animals identified with the disease has also started. Symptoms of this disease have appeared in 118 animals in the district.
