The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives has started discussion on the Bill on alternative development finance mobilization. The committee meeting held at Singh Darbar on Friday discussed the bill with the experts and the amending MPs.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel urged the committee to finalize the bill quickly. He mentioned that the linguistic errors in the bill can be corrected in the assembly as well and requested to conclude the bill.

Minister Paudel also pointed out the need to invest in large-scale projects in the Himalayan and mountainous regions to prevent the dire situation of migration.

Even if there was some linguistic problem from the discussion on the bill at this level, it will be corrected tomorrow. Because it is not a stone letter. If the constitution can be amended, the law cannot be amended. It is our effort to enrich it as much as possible with our awareness and experience. My request is that after the discussion, we reach a common conclusion. And I urge you to move it forward,' he says.

After the law on alternative development finance is made, it is expected that it will help to mobilize new sources of development and to ensure employment promotion, sustainable economic development and long-term investment through it.
