Nepali Congress leader and Constituent Assembly member Khadga Bahadur Basyal passed away.
Basyal, who was suffering from cancer for a long time, passed away at 8:50 am on Friday at his residence in Tatopani, Birendranagar Municipality-3, Surkhet.
Born on January 15, 2008, Basyal was a member of the Constituent Assembly in 2064 and 2070. He is also a former Minister of State for Health. Basyal, the former deputy chairman of Congress Surkhet, also worked as the president of Nepal Dalit Sangh, a Dalit brotherhood organization of Congress.
Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed grief over the death of Basyal saying that the party has lost a senior and experienced leader.
