UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has commented that the issue of former President Bidya Bhandari's party membership has become irrelevant.

Addressing the UML provincial committee meeting in Pokhara on Saturday, he said that the party's central committee meeting concluded that the former president should not return to active politics, so the matter is no longer relevant. The issue of membership is no longer relevant after the political decision. He had submitted the renewal fee and it has been decided not to renew it," he said.

He said that the party is of the opinion that the president and vice president should remain as symbols of the republic and it is not appropriate to return to party politics. He said that when the President and Vice President return to active politics, anti-republican people will have a place to criticize. He said that the party will respectfully support Bhandari's social life and reputation.

After the unity with the Maoists, Pokhrel claimed that the systematic organizational system of UML was disrupted. The organized organizational system of our party was disrupted during the CPN period. We are trying to organize it gradually. We have not returned to the old rhythm," he said. He commented that the results are getting weaker because of less connection with the people.

He said that people who were oppressed and oppressed became a situation where the activity of political parties decreased and they came to express their pain in the media. He emphasized that the journey of economic, social development and prosperity should become the main topic of future politics.
