Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Ram Nath Adhikari has asked to eat millet food for one bite to stay healthy. Addressing the millet planting program held on Friday at Changunarayan in Bhaktapur on the occasion of National Millet Day, Agriculture Minister Adhikari said that one should eat millet dishes to stay healthy.
If we want to stay healthy, if we can arrange to keep millet dishes in the kitchen, even if it's just a bowl, then we will actually be healthy. We may have a disease, we can treat it now, but future generations will also be born sick. It is work to bring in disease,' he said.
As millet is an important crop like corn, rice and wheat, the minister said that it should be developed as well.
