A 15-year-old Dalit girl was gang-raped in Rajviraj Municipality-11 Jalhi of Saptari. On Wednesday evening, the young people who came in a group of four picked up the girl who was standing in front of the house.

After the neighbor informed the house, the family members, who were searching for the girl from the evening, came to know about the incident of rape of the girl when they caught the 19-year-old Raju Yadav, one of the accused, the next morning. The victim's family said that the girl was rescued from the house where she was kept hidden in the morning and the accused Raju was handed over to the police.

Raju and 18-year-old Vivek Yadav gang-raped the victim girl's brother. "My sister told me that others helped in the incident, but now even the ward president is pressuring them to meet," he said.

They have been pressing for a meeting since Thursday, he said, on Friday morning in the presence of the ward president Utid Narayan Yadav, they put more pressure on by holding a panchayat at the health post.
