Prime Minister inaugurated additional irrigation and hydropower project of Ranijamara Kularia project

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has inaugurated additional irrigation, hydropower and transmission lines for irrigation of Ranijamara Kularia irrigation project. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli inaugurated an additional 14,300 hectares of irrigation projects and 4.71 megawatts of hydropower and transmission lines.

Janaki rural municipality ward number 9 Katase of Kailali produces electricity in the irrigation canal and is connected to the 33 KV transmission line. The program of the second phase of the Rani Jamra Kularia irrigation project, which is a project of national pride, has been completed and now the program of the third phase has started.  In the past, the

project has provided services to Tikapur, Lamkichuha and Janki Rural Municipality, but in the third phase, it will expand irrigation and increase agricultural production in Bhajani, Joshipur, Bardagoria, Ghodaghodi and other municipalities.

Prime Minister inaugurated additional irrigation and hydropower project of Ranijamara Kularia project Prime Minister Oli called the project a historic achievement in the development of Nepal's water resources and rural agricultural sector and said that it will portray Nepal's rural lifestyle, agricultural production, energy self-sufficiency and food security. 

Prime Minister Oli said that the Rani Jamra Kularia system, which started with the collective efforts and traditional skills of local farmers 120 years ago, has been expanded into a modern form.

Prime Minister Oli directed the related agencies to complete the irrigation projects of national pride - Sikta, Babai, Mahakali 3rd, Bheri-Babai and Sunkoshi-Marin multi-purpose projects as soon as possible.
