Maoist MP Jhakku Prasad Subedi has commented that the government cannot stand aside by making a paper announcement about the problem of drinking water and irrigation in Madhesh. Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly on Sunday, MP Subedi drew the attention of the government saying that the government should bring a program with a package.

"The government cannot shirk its responsibility just by announcing on paper that it will provide drinking water and irrigation water to the citizens of Madhes. I urge the government of Nepal through the honorable president to arrange a solid relief package, he said. 

MP Subedi also demands that the government should focus on economic prosperity and job creation while maintaining good governance in the country.
