Chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that there is a big ideological and political crisis in Nepali Congress and CPN UML.
Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Saturday, he mentioned that there is an ideological and political crisis in the country's major political parties. He said that there is a lack of ideological, political and organizational leadership in the Congress to come close to the role played and the contribution made by leaders like Vishweshwar Prasad Koirala and Girija Prasad Koirala.
Mentioning that there is an ideological, political and leadership crisis in the UML, President Dahal said that although the party is based on the multi-party democracy of Madan Bhandari and the people, recently there has been a dispute about who is its promoter and proponent.
Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has started presenting herself as the true successor of Madan Bhandari and the people's multi-party democracy.
President Dahal said, 'There is now a very big ideological and political crisis in the country's so-called big political parties. In the Congress, there is a lack of leadership to play the role of leaders like Vishweshwar Prasad Koirala and recently Girija Prasad Koirala. There is a bigger crisis within the UML. Now there is also a dispute about who is the true successor of the people's multi-party democracy. In a program related to Madan Bhandari, the Prime Minister made many accusations against him, then the former President presented himself as the true successor, all these things are signs of a serious crisis within that party.'
He claimed that the Maoist center is the only party that does not have an ideological or political crisis.
