Prime Minister's announcement to immediately connect 500 deep borings in drought-stricken Madhesh

Without water, it's fast, what about bananas? A single farmer won a new victory, but it was over after a while. (There is no water, how will the children be raised? Not even a single farmer can survive, this year everything will be destroyed)

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced that the drought crisis of Madhesh will be solved by making immediate and long-term plans. Prime Minister Oli has also assured that 500 deep borings will be installed immediately in Madhesh, where there is a crisis of drinking water and irrigation.

Prime Minister Oli, who inspected the drought-stricken Madhesh province on Friday, also asked all government agencies and non-governmental organizations to cooperate in the work of the government.

"I saw from close up the areas of empty land that have not been planted in Sarlahi and Mahottari," he said, "Planting has not been done in Madhesh." The field is dry. The water in the pond has dried up. He observed the dry areas of Madhesh from a helicopter. Prime Minister Oli also said that in accordance with the long-term plan, the land will not be allowed to dry up by making ponds and ponds in the Chure area and 'recharging' the water.

While coming to Mahottari from Kathmandu on Friday morning, Prime Minister Oli wrote on social media, 'I am looking at the situation in the drought-stricken area in Terai. Meeting with the farmers here in a while. The government has taken a special decision a few days ago for the relief of farmers.'

Local farmers complained to Prime Minister Oli who came to inaugurate the concrete bridge over the Bighi river in Matihani of Mahottari that they could not raise their problems. A woman from the crowd said, 'There is no water. What is banana food baby? Ekogo kisan Nai Jitai, Amakiai ber bhajetai.'

She expressed her concern that it is difficult how to raise children without water and that even one farmer will not be able to survive this year. But after not understanding the woman's lamentation, Labor, Employment and Social Security Minister Sharatsingh Bhandari, who was accompanying the Prime Minister, replied in Maithili, "Prime Minister ji Madhesh has declared a crisis".

Mentioning that Madhesh has been declared a crisis by the Council of Ministers due to drought due to lack of drinking water and irrigation, Prime Minister Oli said that he has adopted a policy of adopting some measures for the time being. "I found that Saptari, which is close to Koshi, has less effect of drought and other 7 districts of Madhesh have become problematic," he said.

The Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Satish Kumar Singh, informed that the state government has declared drought on 26th June after the planting was affected due to lack of rain.

He told that there is also a shortage of drinking water in Bara and Parsa. There is an extreme shortage of water. Boring has also dried up," said Chief Minister Singh, "We have asked non-governmental organizations to conduct programs related to drought. Drinking water is being distributed in Bara and Parsa with the help of the army using the wind turbine. Even if the state government spends the entire budget, the problem of drought and water will not be solved, so the help of the federal government is needed.

LOSPA Nepal President Mahanth Thakur mentioned the water problem and urged them to be serious about solving the problem of starvation that may occur in the future. The rice planted in some places has also started to dry due to drought. Animals are also in trouble due to lack of water. Arrangements should be made to bring water from Koshi in the east of Madhesh and Gandak in the west," he said.
