The ruling party CPN (UML) has told the ruling partner Nepali Congress that its MPs' amendment proposals regarding the Federal Civil Bill came independently.

UML parliamentarians have filed an amendment proposal to remove the cooling off period in the Civil Bill in the National Assembly. This is being debated in the parliament. Congress Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire informed that the UML said that its MPs are free to amend the Congress queries.

Chief Whip Ghimire while talking to the media after the meeting held at the residence of Party Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba on Friday morning at Budhanilkanth informed that when the Congress heard about the amendment of the UML MPs during the cooling off period, the UML MPs were free to make the amendment and accordingly the amendment was made.

Some Congress MPs have also amended the Land Act brought by the government, so it should be understood as a general rule, he said.

He said, "What has come from the party's side, the parliamentarians proposed the amendment in their own way." MPs are independent. You are free to keep your revisions. 10/12 of our MPs put in the Land Act. But it came from the government. It is said that it is kept because there is a practice of putting it in the bill that comes from the government. Chief Whip Ghimire also said that it will be concluded by further discussing the

cooling off period.
