Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that she is still in the UML. Addressing a press conference in Kathmandu on Friday, former President Bhandari said that she is a member of the UML.
'I have already renewed my membership in UML . I am still affiliated with UML, she said.
Bhandari said that she has made a big contribution to the party by rejoining the party by renewing her membership recently. "I have been a party member for 45 years....Nobody can take my membership," she said.
She also told that she took oath of party membership with Madan Bhandari, who was in charge of Koshi Sagarmatha at the time. We have to program according to its ideals,' she said.
Bhandari has also said that the renewal of her party membership in UML was brought about in the same dispute. "Since the party membership has been renewed, there is no reason to dispute it," she said.
She also said that internal affairs of the party can be discussed within the party.
