A 24-hour ultimatum to Chairman Shrestha to call a meeting of the Central Committee by the majority members of NAUPA

What you should know

The majority central members have given a 24-hour ultimatum to President Ranjita Shrestha Choudhary to convene a central committee meeting of Civil Liberation Party (NAUPA).

On Friday, 12 members of the central committee of Naupa have mentioned that they have given an ultimatum to party president Shrestha Chaudhary to call a meeting of the central committee according to subsection 6 of section 41 of the constitution. Ranjita Shrestha Choudhary is the president of Civil Liberties and there are 20 other central members.

Central members Punna Bahadur Budha, Vipatram Dagaura, Alok Chaudhary, Gangaram Chaudhary Dagaura, Osinkumari Chaudhary, Urmila Chaudhary, Lalvir Chaudhary, Lakshya Bahadur Chaudhary, Balbir Tharu, Vina Tharu and Ramlal Dagaura Tharu have signed the decision to give an ultimatum demanding to call a meeting.

They have warned Chairman Shrestha Chaudhary that if the meeting is not called within 24 hours, the party central committee will hold a meeting on July 11th to take the necessary decision.

Naupa, which has been suffering from internal problems for a long time, is again on the other side . Earlier, the parliamentary party of the House of Representatives had called for a meeting saying that Chairman Chaudhary had not called the meeting.

Parliamentary party leader Gangaram Choudhary's meeting on Saturday 3rd July decided to convene the party's central committee meeting on 9th and 10th July.

There are four parliamentarians of civil liberties in the House of Representatives. Parliamentary party leader Chaudhary, chief whip Lalveer Chaudhary and whip Arun Chaudhary were present in the party meeting. On that day, MP Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhary, who was also the party president, was absent from the meeting.

'In view of the current situation of the party, it was decided to convene a meeting of the Central Committee at Sunrise Cafe Mid Baneshwar on 9th and 10th of July, as it is necessary to have a comprehensive discussion to solve the problems that have arisen in the party,' the decision of the parliamentary party meeting said. On the basis of the same decision, Chaudhary, the leader of the party, had written to all the founding central members to attend the meeting, mentioning the position of the general secretary. But President Shrestha Choudhary said that the right to call a meeting rests only with the President and said that the meeting of the parliamentary party cannot call the meeting of the party central committee. According to the same belief, the chairman Shrestha Chaudhary was also absent from the meeting on Friday.

Meanwhile on Thursday, Resham Chaudhary, who is the guardian of the party, said through a video message that party president Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhary should come to the meeting of the central committee and give a clear answer to the allegations against him. In a video message to his wife Ranjita, who is the party president, Resham said, "You should not run away, you should give a clear answer in the meeting about the allegations against you." At the same time, party president Shrestha Chaudhary is caught in financial irregularities. Those who became ministers of the Far West due to civil emancipation have been removed from the government due to controversy. Initially, Laxman Kishore Choudhary was removed from the government after being caught in the audio case of financial transactions, but recently Rameshwar Choudhary has been dismissed by the Chief Minister for being involved in financial irregularities.

NAUPA, which is supporting the union and the state government, has withdrawn the vote of confidence from the union and the state government and has gone to the opposition bench . Thakursingh Tharu, another leader of Naupa, said that the president is doing his own thing when the party itself is going to collapse. Tharu said, "The party is not only for the president! This is the concern of millions of people and voters!'

According to the leaders and workers of Naupa, the latest situation is also the result of the power struggle of Resham-Ranjita couple.
