Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadhi Municipality Chief Tirtharaj Bhattarai gifted a chair and a table made of bamboo to Speaker Devraj Ghimire. On Wednesday, they visited the Speaker's office and presented bamboo chairs and tables, demanding that the Nepal government should be instructed to use local materials, including bamboo, for policy formulation and implementation.

Bhattarai said that he gave a gift to Speaker Ghimire to include bamboo in the building code and create a model for government evaluation to create and implement a policy of using local materials.

Bhattarai told that bamboo chairs and tables made by local manpower were handed over as gifts to the youths who migrated abroad by making use of bamboo at the local level to open up a way to self-employment and earn income.
