Nepali Congress MP Dr. Shashank Koirala has claimed that Visveshwar Prasad Koirala envisioned the East-West Highway.
Addressing a program organized on BP Memorial Day at BP Museum Sundari Jal on Tuesday, he said that though King Mahendra built the highway, BP's idea was. He said that now the country has developed a lot and it is necessary to change it. Claiming that BP is the person who has worked the most for the service of the people in Nepal, he said that no one else has been able to do what BP has done for the country.
