An infant born in District Hospital Khotang died while being taken to Kathmandu for treatment. The baby, who was born through surgery, was sent to Kathmandu by a helicopter of the Nepalese army after having complex breathing problems.
As part of the President's air rescue program for pregnant women, the mother and the baby were taken to Kathmandu by helicopter. The child, who was born by operation at the district hospital on Monday, died during treatment at the Kanti Children's Hospital in Maharajganj, Kathmandu.
