The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission has arrested Purnashankar Yadav, a senior forest officer of Kailali District Division Forest Office, Dhangadhi, with a bribe of 731,000.

According to spokesman Rajendra Kumar Paudel, the team of the Authority conducted surveillance after it was found that a bribe was being dealt with the service recipient during the management of the Ghatgaddi wood of Gwasi Community Forest located in Kailali, Chure Rural Municipality Ward No.6. Then on Monday evening, after Yadav understood the same bribe offer, the commission team deployed from Kanchanpur took him into custody with the bribe money.

Yadav will be brought to Kathmandu for further investigation, the commission said.
