6 different highways of the country have been completely blocked due to floods and landslides after the incessant rains that have lashed the country.
According to the police head office, the Koshi highway at Sankhuwasabha, the Mechi highway at Panchthar and the Tamor-corridor road section are completely blocked. Similarly, Kaligandaki Corridor of Nawalparasi East, Sahid Highway of Rolpa and Jajarkot Dolpa Bheri Corridor road section of Rukum West have been completely blocked.
Similarly, the road section from Tokha in Kathmandu to Nuwakot, Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung Municipality, Madhyapahari Lokmarg in Galkot in Baglung, Kaligandaki Corridor in the east of Nawalparasi, Shaheed Highway in Pariwartan Rural Municipality of Rolpa has been informed by the police headquarters.

Due to the flood that occurred in the Lhende River on 24th of June last, the highway has been opened in the Awarud Syafrubensi & Rasuwagadhi section. Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, Arjun Paudel, said that in the first phase, the road has been brought into one-way operation from this afternoon.

After continuous rains, the water level in Narayani river in Nawalparasi is increasing. At 1.30 pm on Sunday, the water level at Narayani Bridge in Narayangadh reached 8.27 meters. Till Saturday night, the water level in Narayani river was limited to 5.75 meters. Due to the rains in the hilly districts of Gandaki province, the water level has risen here. The flow of water in the rivers that join the Narayani river is increasing.

The body of the husband of the missing couple was found when the house was destroyed by a landslide in Langdi of Deurali, Modi Rural Municipality-3 of Parbat. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravin Bisht informed that the body of 78-year-old Chabilal Vishwakarma was found. Chabilalal's wife Bishnumati is missing in the landslide. The Diktel-Gaighat road has been blocked since Saturday night due to incessant rain.
