Congress leader Shekhar Koirala, after meeting with former President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, held a step-by-step discussion with ministers and MPs close to him within the party on Sunday. Koirala's recent activities in trying to form an alternative alliance under the leadership of the Congress have been seen as meaningful.

Koirala held discussions with MPs at Anupam Foodland Party Palace in the morning and Yak and Yeti in the afternoon. According to Hridayram Thani, a member of parliament near Koirala, he said that it is the task of getting suggestions from the members of parliament about the deteriorating situation in the country.

"In the context of increasing public anger among the common citizens due to the governmental instability and corruption, it was discussed to put pressure on the party and the government for the truth," said Thani.

When asked whether the discussion held by Koirala is aimed at changing the leader of the parliamentary party within the party, Thani said that it would not be appropriate to take such a risk now.
