RSVP MP Sobita Gautam has said that necessary legal provisions should be made regarding the status of Civil Aviation Authority after its division into regulator and service provider.

During the discussion on the Nepal Air Service Authority Bill at the meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee on Friday, MP Gautam said that the financial situation of the regulatory body should be thought about in time. "The service provider organization will make good income, but how will the regulatory organization connected with it do its job ? A theoretical question has arisen from where to collect financial resources,' she said.  His proposal was that there should be a legal arrangement for the service provider to give some amount of his income to the service provider . He said that since the Civil Aviation Authority is a service provider and a regulator, the management of financial resources is under the same system.

The government has introduced the Bill, 2081 to establish and regulate the Nepal Air Service Authority and the Bill, 2081 to amend and unify the laws related to the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority. Both these bills are under discussion in the parliamentary committee. The government says that this bill has been introduced to make Nepal's civil aviation service reliable according to international standards.
