Prime Minister and UML President KP Sharma Oli has said that it is a serious matter for the former president to enter active politics.

Oli officially came to this opinion after former President Bidya Bhandari said that he is ready to take the leadership of UML.

"It is a serious matter that a person who has reached a dignified position, a former president who is a symbol of the republic, will enter politics," he said at the Politburo meeting on Friday, "The party will decide on this at the right time."

He mentioned that Bhandari came into politics without consulting him and said that in the meeting that it will be decided. 

Oli gave an interview to Guideline Television and said that the party did not believe and did not believe that former President Bhandari would enter politics. He also argued that Bhandari could not be given the leadership of UML.
