Maoist Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has accused the current government of being indifferent to corruption control. Addressing the House of Representatives on Monday, Dahal said that since the formation of the government, there has been interference in the people-oriented programs carried out by the previous government and there has been an increase in the closing of investigation files.
'I said at that time that this government was formed out of fear of good governance. That fear of good governance remains till today. That fear brought the two big parties together, and now the government is protecting Hakaha's corrupt people because of that fear,' he said.
Since the formation of the government, Dahal says that the corruption investigations carried out by the previous government have been weakened and stopped. Corruption files are being closed. Corruption is increasing. Money laundering activities are on the rise. And how does the country come out of the gray list?,' he said.
