Maoist Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal once again expressed his deep dissatisfaction with the budget presented by the government and criticized it as a gross insult to the people's expectations and the democratic process. In the House of Representatives on Monday, he said that the current government has destroyed the method created by the government led by him to bring the budget.

'Democracy was introduced with a new calendar to free it from rituals, which ensured the participation of the people's representatives. However, now that method has been destroyed, the budgeting process itself has been limited to the setting of a special group,' said President Dahal.

Dahal claims that the budget is not the dream of the people, but the bargaining of interest groups. 'When the budget is non-participatory, when policy decisions are taken on the basis of revenge, then what can the people expect.'

In addition, he made a serious allegation that the Dalit community was not touched in the budget, 'The revolutionary idea of establishing an empowered Dalit Development Authority was killed. Discrimination against Dalits is seen not only in the society, but also in your budget.'

He expressed serious dissatisfaction with the government's lack of interest in programs such as 'Management and Branding of Domestic Alcohol', 'Cannabis Cultivation for Medicinal Purposes', which are considered important from the point of view of a self-sufficient economy.

Showing the government's indifference towards youth employment and nation building, he said, "During my government's time, a budget of 3 billion was allocated to mobilize 100,000 youth under the ``Nation Building Youth Mobilization Program'', but you froze that budget."
