Maoist Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the Maoist Party has brought about historic changes in the country and that only he has the courage and vision to draw a clear blueprint for the future. Addressing the House of Representatives on Monday, Dahal is recalling the contribution of the Maoist leadership in matters ranging from the creation of the republic, the constitution to the achievements in the energy sector.
We have made history and only we have the courage and courage to draw the blueprint for the future. We have also taken the responsibility of fulfilling people's dreams,' he said.
President Dahal pointed out that not even a decade has passed since the implementation of the constitution and the necessary laws have not yet been made, and he has brought forward the issue of constitutional amendment as a serious debate. The constitution should further institutionalize the rights of the Nepali people. Amendment is necessary to ensure the identity and rights of the neglected, oppressed caste, class, geography and community,' he said.
Pointing out the need to get a two-thirds majority to make progressive amendments on the constitution's form of government, electoral system, names of provinces, demarcation, financial federalism, inclusion and social justice, he said, 'If the government has the courage, I will take the responsibility of getting that majority as the main opposition.'
President Dahal asserted that the threat to the future of the republic comes from the government's working style and said, 'If there is a threat to the republic from anywhere, it is not from the monarchists or anyone else, but from the government's working style.' Warning the ruling party not to exceed the limit of people's patience, Dahal warned, 'You are still digging the tyranny of misgovernance by thinking that whatever you do will happen in the pride of numbers. It has to stop, otherwise people's patience will run out.'
According to Chairman Dahal, historical decisions such as conception of Madhyapahari Lokmarg, postal highway, north-south corridor, announcement of special economic zone, end of loadshedding etc. were made under Maoist leadership. "Being in alliance, we have set a standard even with limited opportunities. If we get a stable government for five years, we can transform the country,' he said. He claimed that the improvement seen in the last term in solving the economic crisis was also a result of Maoist leadership.
