Former Prime Minister and leader of the United Socialist Party Jhalnath Khanal has said that former President Bidya Devi Bhandari's entry into politics is a positive thing.
After visiting China, he returned home on Saturday while talking to the media and said that joining the UML should be taken positively as he realized that the unity of the left wing is the need of the day. Stating that CPN-UML is the largest left-wing group in Nepal, he expressed the view that UML should unite all others. He said that if UML wants to unite the left wing, there is a possibility of a large scale left wing unity.
'The leadership of UML seems to be worried about the current problems, if Vidya Bhandari said that she will join UML realizing that left wing unity is the need of the day and I will now take the initiative and become the president of UML, we should take it positively,' said leader Khanal.
