An agreement has been reached between the CPN United Socialist Party and the CPN Ekta National Campaign led by Bamdev Gautam.

It was agreed to unite the party after a discussion between the president of United Samajwadi Party Madhav Kumar Nepal and the president of CPN Ekta National Abhiyan Vamdev Gautam.

In the joint statement signed by Nepal and Gautam, it is mentioned that there is uniformity in political philosophy, theory, program, strategy and action direction and it is agreed to move forward unitedly keeping in mind the historical need of uniting the communist movement of Nepal.

As mentioned in the statement, the program to declare unity has been fixed on 2nd July 2082.
