”Youth Journalism Award” to four journalists including Kantipur workers Dahal and Khadka

The government has given this year's 'Youth Journalism Award' to four journalists, including Kantipur workers Prakriti Dahal and Gagansheela Khadka.

Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary presented the award on Friday at the 'Youth Journalism Award-2081' distribution ceremony organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports . Dahal is co-published by Kantipur Publications in Nari Masik and Khadka is working in Kantipur Daily. 

Mamta Thapa of Annapurna Post and Sushil Darnal of National News Committee were also awarded with the award. Among the 46 applications registered for the

award, the award was given to the journalist who obtained the maximum number of points based on the evaluation table according to subsection (2) of section 4 of the Youth Journalism Award Procedure, 2075 (including the second amendment, 2081). The amount of prize is 50 thousand rupees.

Ministry has highlighted the available opportunities and possibilities in the matter of youth development, has contributed through journalism in the matter of youth entrepreneurship development, employment/self-employment, is active in the development of youth of special priority groups through journalism, is continuously active in the field of youth journalism and is active in the field of youth development through journalism in remote and backward areas.

Khedkud Ministry Secretary Dr. Hariprasad Lamsal has been coordinated by the 'Youth Journalism Award' selection committee has selected the awardees. The members of the committee were Subashchand Sivakoti, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Sports, Mamata Bastola, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Surendra Kumar Bajracharya, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Sports (Member Secretary of the Committee) and Deepak Khanal, Senior Administrative Officer of Press Council Nepal and Ramesh Khatiwada, Secretary of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists.
