Chief Justice Prakashman Singh Raut has said that any kind of interference in the independence of the judiciary is not acceptable. In an event held in Kathmandu on Thursday, Chief Justice Raut said that the Chief Justice himself should stay away from any interference.
'The independence of the judge is the soul of the judiciary. Interference is unacceptable. The Chief Justice is not far away from that vision,' said Chief Justice Raut.
He said that the actions, decisions and roles of judges should be used in the right place. 'Nowadays, it is difficult to find a person with integrity. If I have decided thousands of cases or if one of the thousands of decisions made by our court is above, they will be given, it has nothing to do with the other 999 cases. Despite that, I have said that I will take charge of the judiciary. I will take it,' he said.
