National Independent Party MP Sovita Gautam has said that if bankers and businessmen are to be separated, a cooling period of three years should be made mandatory.
Speaking in the discussion on the Bank and Financial Institutions Bill held in the Finance Committee on Thursday, MP Gautam expressed the view that the state should take practical measures so that the property of the industrialists will not be damaged. She said that if bankers and businessmen are to be separated, the cooling period must be three years.
She said, 'Everyone's interest is in separating bankers and businessmen. If it is to be allocated, three years should be given, so that industrialists and businessmen can manage the property.'
According to MP Gautam, there is a possibility that the conflict of interest will end if bankers and businessmen are separated.
