Rashtriya Prajatantra Party President Rajendra Lingden has removed Sagunsundar Lawati as the spokesperson. Lavati was removed from the role of spokesperson as he was accused of acting against the interests of the party and was found to be involved in such activities.
RPPA President Lingden decided to remove Lawati from the role of party spokesperson on Wednesday. According to Mohan Shrestha, RP spokesperson and Head of Publicity Department, Lavati's central member position will remain. RPPA says that Lavati was removed from the responsibility of spokesperson because he was found to have acted against the party's interests.
RPP leaders have informed that Lavati is more active in various organizations and campaigns than party activities. "The decision was made to remove him from the spokesperson after the leadership came to the conclusion that he had prepared misleading material against the party and the leadership, and acted against the party's interests and unity," said one of the RPP leaders. Lately, he was doing activities to create a rift between the president and Pashupatishamsher Jabara.'
Lavati was recently active in the Joint People's Movement Committee led by Navraj Subedi, which was formed to bring back the monarchy.
